Hi,

I'm getting my hands on an M2000 on Wednesday, but I wanted to know if there is a way of copying the existing sms's from my C500 over to the new phone?

Cheers,

M

Well, you could forward them all individually from one to the other....

Or look at something like Jeyo's Mobile Extender which transfers SMS to PC - put Jeyo into MoDaCo's search engine and you'll find all the alternative products in the various threads.

Then go to Handango (or similar) and see if there is a PPC version of the software which will transfer the SMS from your PC to the Blue Angel.

Haven't heard of an app to transfer directly. My advice is to accept that SMS is a disposable medium and delete them all once you've read them ;)

But as with the C500 you can just move a file (I think) is it not the same as for the M2000?

I'm with you.

To be honest I don't know. On Smartphones I think SMS etc are stored in the cemail.vol database but this file doesn't seem to exist on my Jam.

This I see as a huge failing on MS behalf they should upgrade Outlook to deal with SMS like they deal with email.

In an ideal world there would be a Outlook plugin that would add loads of smartphone functionality to the popular email software.
