MiniSD card problem.

hello helpers,

I have recently purchased a 512mb mini sd card. everything has been working fine. however, my phone [audiovox smt5600] only reads upto 483.56mb of the total 512mb storage space. i can check this under system info.

Any ideas why it is behaving so? and is there a way to make this work so it uses full card capicity?

It is using it's full capacity, the 512mb is the cards unformatted size.

For example my 1gb card shows 974.46mb it's the way the file system works.

Yap Awarner is right my miniSD is 256 MB but my phone only "sees" 243.88 MB , it is normal.
