That's been asked 1000 times before and is simply not possible

well, in reply to your question...

u can send/recieve files over a distance of around 1metre, but this is not the IR RANGE! the will go much further than 1m, because when your sending/recieving files both fones send/recieve info, but with a tv remote, stuff is just sent.. (sorry my description isn't very technical... lol)

look about, i've seen a few pictues of a e200 and a few of a c500 next to a tv remote, both using IR, you can see the c500 and tv remote are roughly the same brightness...

as for "impossible" - we just need some1 with enough knowledge and time, people said the exact same about pocket pc's and tv remote stuff, now they're amazing tv remotes ;)

That doesn't make sense. The TV is receiving the signal so it is still send/receive, and the signal quality at the TV end of the process still needs to be adequate to trigger a response.

People with a lot more knowledge and time that either of us have already looked at it and said "Nope".

Just because people like you and me don't understand the problem does not mean that someone better informed is going to be able to "fix" it. Not everything is possible.

Ok. So anyways, once again the old guy has been snubbed for asking silly questions. respect the elderly. dementia hasnt set in yet. I saw an article about bluetooth cassette tape that you pop in deck in car or stereo and use your BT device to port music over to hear on better speakers. Link -

This has got me back on my TV remote via smartphone idea. So IR channel flopping is out of the picture. What about a TV antenna that also can connect via BT to your smartphone for sole purpose of changing channels?

Ultimate Lazy Man Wins Again!!!
