I have downloaded the ROM upgrade from the UK Orange website yesterday. When I run the executable..

RUU_c0.995_OrangeUK_v4.1.1.4.exe

I get the message...

The contents of this file cannot be unpacked. The executable you are attempting to run has been corrupted. Please obtain another copy of this file, and try again.

...Does anyone else get this problem? Maybe it is the firewall on my PC? The upgrade can be reached here..

http://web.orange.co.uk/yourphone/spvc500/...l?id=sm_1137635

Tried calling Orange but, erm, lets say they struggling with an answer.

Yes, I have downloaded 4 times so I was wondering if anyone else had experienced the same problem.

I've had to download the file several times before getting a good copy. Looks like orange's server is a bit finicky. It seemed better when I disabled my download accelerator.

I don't see how the file on the Orange server can be bad, if it is working SOMETIMES? Either it is bad, or it isn't. So I downloaded it just to try it out, and it ran perfectly fine.

Looks to me like you are experiencing download problems. Check you connection, maybe dump the firewall while downloading and don't use DL managers. The file on the server is not the problem...

**Update**

Orange have called me back. They have recreated the error and are looking into it.
