Guest simon211175 Posted April 27, 2005 Report Posted April 27, 2005 Hi guys, I've recently switched my C500 back to Orange PAYG from O2 PAYG, and noticed that when I have an active GPRS connection, I cannot receive calls. I'm not sure if this has always been the case with Orange, but I know that with O2 I could have for example Messenger connected and calls could still be received. Can anyone shed any light on this?
Guest chucky.egg Posted April 27, 2005 Report Posted April 27, 2005 I don't think there is a setting in the menus on the MS Smartphone, but there is a setting somewhere that determines what happens when a call comes in (or is made) whilst GPRS is connected. It should suspend the GPRS session, allow the call, then resume the session. I've just tried it on mine and it does (presumably) the same thing... the incoming call gets sent to my voicemail.
Guest simon211175 Posted April 27, 2005 Report Posted April 27, 2005 Could possibly have been reset when my phone did a hard reset recently. If anyone knows where this setting is I'd be most grateful ;)
Guest pisquee Posted April 27, 2005 Report Posted April 27, 2005 sometimes on mine the call will be sent to voicemail, and other times it will come through to my phone and over-ride my gprs.
Guest chucky.egg Posted April 27, 2005 Report Posted April 27, 2005 It seems like it might only be redirecting calls to voicemail whilst data is actually being transferred... not sure, but that seems to fit with old posts. Odd that I've never noticed before, but I don't often phone myself
