But if you are just on T-Zones, my guess as to why it was working last night is that you probably had it still hooked to USB and were using internet pass through. Don't feel bad, I did the same thing. I assume you are also using the T-mo proxy to use IE, unfortunately those settings do not carry over for Opera. After reading around a little (actually a LOT) I found out that you can make Opera for Smartphone work with T-zones! Here is how: Sync with your computer and browse to: \Storage\Application Data\Opera Copy opera.ini to your desktop and open it with notepad. Scroll down to the section labeled [Proxy] and change the following line to: HTTP Server=216.155.165.50:8080 (By default the server is the Opera mobile accelerator service proxy, you are changing it to use T-mobiles proxy.) Copy it back to your phone and replace the original, UNPLUG THE USB CABLE (;)) and start up Opera again. Make sure that in options, Use Mobile Accelerator is checked. If it isn't working already, try rebooting the phone, and you should be set. That is what solved the problem for me at least, hopefully it will work for you as well. For the most part I like Opera better, but I have noticed that T-Mo's proxy seems to block any content larger than a few hundred KB (where as IE wouldn't even display that content). Oh well, beggars can't be choosers! ;)
Guest urinsane Posted May 3, 2005 Report Posted May 3, 2005 THANK YOU!! It works!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Great, glad to hear it! I was pretty excited to get it working. And today I reinstalled Agile Messenger and AIM works for me now as well! The first time I installed it it would not connect.
