How to disable/remove icon indicates new message

Hi all,

is there any way to remove (or disable) the icon that indicates new message?

I've an imate Sp3 smartphone and i'd like to remove any notification (sound and visual) coming from new sms/mms/e-mail messages. Any advice?

You can set profiles and Settings\Sounds to turn off SMS notification.

As for the indication on the homescreen you would need to edit the XML to stop this from showing.
