Foreign characters... Registry?

I just have a question... I have an MPx220, with 1.3 ROM and only US English available in languages. While typing SMSes I would like to be able to use some special characters for my language (Swedish)... namely åä and ö.

It's barely being released here so I'm hoping that the next ROM might contain the swedish characters. In the meantime I've noticed that the characters are available in the phone, cause when I type an SMS through Pocket Controller I can use the characters fine. Is there somewhere in the registry where I can activate those characters where my previous phone (Qtek 8080) had em ... å & ä came after a-b-c and ö came after m-n-o...?
