I am going nuts trying to get tomtom to work with the c500 - but it doesn't help when everyone refers to Bonded Devices in Start>settings>Bluetooth>menu etc. BUT my c500 only refers to Devices and NOT Bonded Devices, so is this right? How do I know if the devices has paired? and nowhere on any menu on my c500 does it list Bonded Devices! Help.

Bump because I would like to understand this too. Is it just that most application manuals are refering to Pocket PC Bluetooth settings?

The "Bonded Devices" seen in the E200 and the "Devices" you see in the C500 are both the same.

When you said you can't get tomtom working, you falied to mention the software version. Normally, you would need to install the tomtom traffic update. THis updates the software so that it works with other bluetooth GPS receivers other than the tomtom receivers.

The update is only required for TomTom Version 4. Also the update is not intended to allow you to use other gps devices - that was an accident. The update was an update to the traffic part of TomTom Mobile which also happened to fix the bluetooth driver so that it worked on the c500. You will require the update even with a genuine TomTom receiver. TomTom 5 however does not need an update and sets up the GPS itself
