When that happens to me its usually because I have an error in the syntax of my xml so it cannot be parsed.

Maybe you could try opening the xml file in internet explorer on your PC and see if it returns an error.

I recommend XMLWriter for your xml concerns. You can validate if the document is a well-formed XML (ei check for errors via F7 key).

yes, I see there is indeed a problem with the script. I'm so silly not to think of that, I'll toss it a wobbly and hope for the best mate.

Guest muff

ok, obvious question, but did the homescreen in the ZIP actually work properly? after all, you could be building on broken XML in the first place

@extravagant

It would help if you could attach the XML so we could look into it. ;)

Not sure if it helps but the name has to be this way name.home.xml if it does not have the home in name text it won't work.

Document is well-formed XML after XML Writer validation. I saw Smart monitor plugin codes at the xml, have you installed the plugin on your phone?

ok guys the homescreen works only when I put Color Scheme: Default and Background Image: Default...

I just need to change the background image so I can see it properly, otherwise it really sucks.. does anyone know how it will select the image automatically when I have the background setting to default?...

Your XML says:

<background bgimage="\Storage\Application Data\Home\PPC2003 XP Bliss.jpg" valign="bottom"/>

So you should rename your desired jpg to PPC2003 XP Bliss.jpg otherwise change the xml code to 'MyBackground.jpg' and have that jpg inside \Storage\Application Data\Home.

As for the color scheme, the default scheme is detemined by the color names / codes you entered under XXX of your XML.
