Everything in there is just screaming my name and I want to take it all home and play with it.
Guest Dade Posted May 5, 2005 Report Posted May 5, 2005 Funny, apple stores give me the same feeling as the dentist. Hate to go there, happy to leave and certainly not wanting to touch anything in there!
Guest mike-oh Posted May 5, 2005 Report Posted May 5, 2005 What you really want is the sony centre! drooooooool ;)
Guest beersoft Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 i have the same feeling when we go into threshers for the weekly shop later Owen
Guest AngelOfRage Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 Yes i visited the Sony store in New York all i could say is WOW. they have very shiney stuff in there...
Guest mike-oh Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 I have a friend in Japan at the mo, i need to persuade him to visit the one in Tokyo, it'll be like entering the set off star trek!
Guest moosery Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 I cant stand shops that only sell 5 things! ;)
Guest mike-oh Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 we're not talking clothes or perfume, we're talking uber shiny gadgety things! mmmmmmm
Guest philgriffiths Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 (edited) What you really want is the sony centre! drooooooool ;) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I probably should say that while it was a pretty cool store i would never actually buy anything from there.. There Laptops and stuff do look really cool (i personally hate the ipod and think it may well be the work of Satan). Personally I would rather sitck to Windows based systems.... Better the devil you know and all that. As for Sony centres they are just like Currys. Or at least the one near me is, full of fairly middle of the road products and staffed by either spotty teenagers who probabley know less about TV than they do about catwalk modelling or greased up middle aged pricks, who for some reason feel the best sales technique is to apply so much cheap aftershave your blinded and forced into buying whatever they tell you just to stop your eyes from watering. Now... the Bang and Olfsen (spelling?) centre.. thats another matter! ;) EDIT: I forgot to mention also that while i typed the message that started this thread i was being shadowed by a very strange looking member of staff, who had gone for what i can only describe as 'the simon cowell trouser waist' I shuffled around teh rest of the store afterwards and slipped out of the door after that.. I decided that i might have gotten lynched for accessing a windows based phone forum on an Apple computer... Sacrilage! Perhaps i should have enquired when apple were bringing out there own smartphone? Edited May 6, 2005 by philgriffiths

Or Linn's show room would be another good one. I doubt there's more than one in the country and that'll be in London (just googled it and it's in none other that Harrods!). These are the guys who's components for their Hi-Fis are manufactured in the same place they make missles for the MOD! The cases are litterally calved from a block of solid aluminium! I went into a Bose showroom once, sounded great but i aint so keen on their styling.
