Getting email attachments out of the phone

I cannot edit the Outlook email settings on my smartphone to send receive while out and about. I assume the outlook account is only for syncing with a pc. I made a new account and can send & receive mail fine. Trouble is that if I receive an attachment it only seems to be readable within the smartphone mail application. This works fine for text files but I am receiving dwg drawing files which are not recognised. So I sent another and received it on the phone as a zip, on clicking it you get file explorer but cannot paste it anywhere in order to move it off the phone. Also the mail account I created does not sync with a pc so I can't get at it that way.

Does anyone know how to get an attached file out of the email and into My Documents, an sd card or anywhere else for that matter?

Cheers,

Simon
