Guest kev_gordon Posted May 3, 2005 Report Posted May 3, 2005 I just got a C500 after much review reading, but have only now, after using it, discovered that it does not synchronise Outlook notes, which I never picked up on reading all the reviews. It's not the end of the world - the phone is great, and much easier to carry around than my xda-ii, but if there is a way of getting the notes on via the synchronisation it would be soooo great. I suppose there isnt though, otherwise microsoft would have done it. I know the C500 does the voice recorder notes, but that's just not helping me much, and I hate the sound of my own voice anyway. I run my life from outlook, and without my C500 calendar telling me what I need to do next, I'd be lost. It is such a great little device. If only I could have all my notes telling how to do the things that I need to do next....
Guest mvsmith07 Posted May 3, 2005 Report Posted May 3, 2005 You have to get (perhaps need to purchase) a third party tool like PhatNotes (this definitely exists) or SmartNotes (not sure about this one). Do a search on this forum or Google for PhatNotes.
Guest leinadafc Posted May 3, 2005 Report Posted May 3, 2005 Alternatively... Suggest you copy the notes into contacts, tasks or (if time specific) calendar. Recommend you copy them to contacts so you can access them by contact name. Dragging the Note into the Contacts Folder creates a Contact where the text of the Note can be found in the notes of the Contact. Hmmm, not easy to explain but have a go. I store all sorts of rubbish in contacts timetables, account numbers etc.
