I have an SPV C500 and i went this weekend as it was Easter holiday for me to the country side for a party in the nature .The thing is that i filled my mini sd 256 mb card with 61 mp3s (as not all of them were at 128kbps but at least that) i connected the SPV to my 2.1 sound sistem ... the result everyone stoned and could not believe that music was coming wich such great quality from a phone .There is a picture attached ... so u will see the "KING OF THE RING"

;) ;) :P

How could you connect it to your car audio system; is there a jack?

I use 5510 adapter. Setup looks like this:

I do this before on my Tanager. Your car stereo should support cassette tape.

Not quite as beefy but I always carry around these with me.

So when I am out etc I can plug in and get excellent quality sound as well ;)

so can you just plug in any type of speakers and have them work? As long as they fit the 3.5mm jack on the phone?

Like Dr_StrangeTrick, I'm a fan of the Travelsound speakers 8)

They come with all the leads / adaptors you will need.

@ Griff_FFOC : shouldn't that be 2.5mm ?

yeah, meant 2.5mm, and on a C500 too. I'm surprised if they do work, as i'd have expected the socket on the phone to be wired differently.

They're designed to be used from headphone sockets

I ended up popping to Maplins to get a 2.5mm - 3.5mm adaptor which works fine. Thanks for the tips guys.

Incidently, they're 95p, and both Maplin and RS sell them.

However, I've been told that the original orange headset/handsfree on the c500 is a 4 pole jack. Has anyone had any problems with the stereo adaptors being only 3 pole. Will it cause any problems with the phone, shorting of pins for example.?

Hi - just received my creative travelsound speakers today and very happy with them but music from the C500 seems to mainly come through1 speaker compared to when I link it up with my laptop on both WM 9 and beta player - Does anyone know if this can be rectified?

Thanks

Hi C500mad I think you may have the wrong type of 3.5-2.5 adapter.

Try playing music then plug the speakers in and slowly twist and ease the plug out (dont yank it out) but you may find that having it slightly out may work.

Hi Dr_strangetrick - tried it but no luck - It works fine with my laptop - just not with the C500???

Hi again, what happens if you plug a pair of standard stereo headphones into your 2.5-3.4 adapter :?: can you hear media player, beta player in mono or stereo or just left/right :?:

i got me a little adapter so that you can plug any speakers/headphones into my C500, and still have a headset mic too, i think it was from extensys or summat and no need to fiddle with the plug cost about a fiver tho maybe more with shipping
