Guest [email protected] Posted May 4, 2005 Report Posted May 4, 2005 (edited) I have an unlocked smt5600 (c500) that is set up and working fine on the Cingular network. I have an issue in my home office that I do not receive a Cingular signal. Under Settings Phone Network I can manually change the network to AT&T and get a perfect signal. This works fine except for one thing. It never stays on the network I chose. I have tried every combination of selecting the network (manual, automatic, etc) and after a short period of time, the phone resets itself back to the Cingular network. My assumption is that there is a registry key somewhere that controls how long the phone stays on the manually set network before switching back to the "home" network. I also assume that this will be the same setting no matter what carrier is being used. I have tried changing the order of the preferred network, but it makes no difference. It always defaults back to the home network after a while. Has anyone run into these settings? Even if I could change the timeout to an hour, it would be better than the 5 minutes or so I get now. Any help would be greatly appreciated, particularly since Cingular does not support this awesome phone. Thanks. Edited May 5, 2005 by [email protected]
