If you hve installed in then it should be at the Add/Remove programs list. Close Xbar first then sync phone to PC. Using ActiveSync, hit Tools > Add/Remove Programs.

Look for 'Xetra Xbar' entry, uncheck then click OK.

Its a very useful tool, why do you want it removed?

First unistalling, you have to exit.

You can exit by pressing the * key for a long time

Haven't used it myself for ages but doesn't it run on start-up ?

Therefore you need to kill it with Task Manager first before you can uninstall.

Magnetic_dud's method is presumably the same thing ;)

Hi,

The main problem for me is : It is not getting displayed in the Phone's Remove programs list.Is it beacuse it was not installed using a cab or exe file.

As i have told i copied the zip file onto my phone and extracted. So is the reason y it is not appearing in the Remove prg list??

Can i simply delete the file after connecting to the PC??

With regards

If the program didnt go into a 'clean' install process then it wouldn't show in the list. ;)

If you really want to delete the program, stop it from running in the background first and then manually delete the files (or program folder).

After reading this thread, I downloaded Xbar to try out.

Instructions at the Xetra website say type in a regcode of 00000 to try for a couple of hours.

So, installed - started up and it asked for the regcode, and I typed it in.

It must have also asked for an owners name because it won't work because it says no owners name entered, but no facility to insert.

Might be OK software, but their instructions are awful.

The owners name is in the phone setup. Lots of software gets owner information from the phone so if you don't set it up you are likely to have problems with other things as well.

Start, Settings, Owner Information - just to be clear ;)
