Guest fatriff Posted May 5, 2005 Report Posted May 5, 2005 (edited) Hi all, Yesterday my phone started to display 'Denied, Searching'.It won't dial anything on any network.I had my phone unlocked with imei-check about 2 months ago so I could use it with o2 and all has been fine until yesterday. I've tried o2,vodafone and orange and nothing works! The problem isn't the sim card because I just tried it in another phone and it's fine. Could anybody offer any help or advice? Guest tonythedude Posted May 5, 2005 Report Posted May 5, 2005 Hi,what is celltrack? I don't think mine has that on it.Have you resolved the problem with your phone? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Iam going through the problem at the moment, i too went round the houses like you probably have thinking it was the sim card then maybe the phone is fragged....i checked with orange customer care to see if the phone was stolen as i had just bought it no to long ago.... Orange are the only people who can block your phone from working if the previous owner had reported it lost or stolen. So ring them and give them ur IMEI number so they can tell you if your moby is black listed or not!! Ifit is you need to find who ever you got the phone from so they can un-blacklist the phone. If you cant then im afraid you have a good phone which can neither send or recive calls. Hope this helps good luck
Guest Alex_le_brit Posted May 5, 2005 Report Posted May 5, 2005 Hmmm if you don't know what Celltrack is, then you don't have it. It was just a thought cos my phone seemed to freak and give me invalid SIM card messages within an hour or so of me using CellTrack via GPRS as opposed to PassThru. Tony's assuming you bought your phone secondhand, is that the case?
Guest squall Posted May 5, 2005 Report Posted May 5, 2005 If you bought the phone second hand: Networks in the UK will automatically barr any phone reported Lost, stolen or on which there is an outstanding debt (not paying contract) It often takes the network a while to catch up, so its common for someone to sell the phone on, then for it to work for a few weeks before it gets barred. If you buy the phone on ebay and it does not connect to the network, or a few weeks later it stops connecting to the network its likely the network HAS barred it. Contact the seller and try to get your money back! You could try contacting the network, but they are unlikely to lift the barr.
