Is there a quick way to beam my contact details?

Yes, and No. Not with the built in applications, but...

You can use SendContact (which you can get free from www.airfagev.com)... but that only sends the mobile number from a contact and nothing else. This way is handy for sending any contact by SMS, but limited in what it sends.

You can also save your contact info as a VCF file on your PC, transfer it to your phone and then beam that file (using a file explorer, or MobiLuck etc). I have a script that exports contacts to VCFs and I use MobSync to sync them onto my phone - it's not quite as much hassle as it sounds. This way is handy for sending specific contacts by BT/IR, but limited in that you have to have the VCF file to start with

I guess the way to do it with built in sw is just to add onesself as a contact and beam that. I just thought they would have bult in some kind of special feature for it since the usual cotact infor people want to give out is their own! Then it could have been tied to a speed-dial...
