Guest spidermunky Posted May 5, 2005 Report Posted May 5, 2005 (edited) With this being the phone edition, is it possible to have MSN messenger running in the background, even with the PDA off? On my old SPV I could just leave msn running, same with agile messenger on my Nokia. Will this still happen on the QTEK S100/HTC Magician? Thanks, Greg Edited May 5, 2005 by spidermunky
Guest jfran Posted May 5, 2005 Report Posted May 5, 2005 shouldn't be a problem other than the drain on your battery life and increased gprs useage. you could also use agile messenger. rgds jim
Guest MitchellO Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 Yes, MSN works fine for that over GPRS. In this scenario, i still get great battery life, and GPRS usage is very good (if I leave it on for about 6hrs only about 80kb is used, more if chatting). Doesn't work with my wifi card though. As soon as you power off the device, the wifi card shutsdown. Only works on GPRS.
Guest spidermunky Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 That's great guys, thanks for the replies. Now I just have to wait for the phone to arrive ;) Greg
