Guest carry93 Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 Dear all, I just got a new Motorola MPx220. I was a palm user and have now switched to Smartphone. I find that there is no way to mask /hide those records in contact / calendar. It just shows up directly. I am worrying that if I drop my phone, someone will pick this up and have all the details. Can someone pls advise if there is any program / way to hide / mask those important / private data on the smart phone? Thanks, Carry93
Guest dchester Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 I don't know if this is exactly what you are looking for, but you can go into Settings > Security, and Enable the Phone Lock. This basically allows you to select a PIN for the phone so that you will need to know the PIN before the phone can be used.

However, this is not exactly what I am looking for. Sorry that I've to used the feature of Palm OS to compare here. In Palm, there is system feature that I can either choose mask/hide the private record. If I want to see them, I have to enter the pin separately. Or do you think if there is any program available for SmartPhone to keep private record or credit card info? ;) Thanks, Caron
Guest dchester Posted May 7, 2005 Report Posted May 7, 2005 There are 3rd party applications out there that likely will do what you want. Here is one I found at Handango.com that may work for you (and it has a free trial). http://www.handango.com/PlatformProductDet...productId=46016
