Guest noisey Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 Greetings, I have an SMT-5600 (Audiovox). I use T-Mobile's $20/month flat rate GPRS. I've successfully been able to use my phone to read email over IMAP to several different accounts since I've had it. This morning, when I hit "Send/Receive", I get this error: The following errors occured while sending and receiving mail: Unable to connect to the incoming mail server. Verify that the server name is correct and try again. Initially, I thought it just meant that the mailserver on one of my accounts was down, but I get it for all of my accounts, which are on several different servers. (E.g., personal mail, work mail, etc.) I've checked them with Outlook on my laptop and the mail servers all seem to be up. This leads me to conclude it must be some kind of TMobile problem. Anyone else having problems? Note, I haven't made any changes to my phone. It's been working great for the last 2 months. I just hit send/receive this morning like I always do, but this time I got an error. Any ideas? Thanks!!
Guest noisey Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 Just called TMobile. They claim all data is down West of the Mississippi. They don't know when it will be fixed.

I get what you experience at least once a week, and I also have multiple accounts. You just have to reboot your phone.
Guest toxicmegacolon Posted July 10, 2005 Report Posted July 10, 2005 Exact same thign happened to me, on the same date. I still can't get it to work despite trying every possible setting out there. Did you find a solution? Greetings, I have an SMT-5600 (Audiovox). I use T-Mobile's $20/month flat rate GPRS. Guest taoofthe777 Posted October 9, 2005 Report Posted October 9, 2005 I get the same error every time I try to send email. I can download messages no problem, but if I have anything in my outbox, I get the error (see top) and the messages don't send. I'm using an SMT5600 on T-Mobile. Any solutions?
