Guest bowdie Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 (edited) Hi, I recently moved from Scotland to Bermuda 8) and I want to use my Orange SPV C500 on one of the local networks here (once unlocked). I have asked a local shop about sim cards, but they tell me that my phone is incompatible with the Bermudian network - is this true or are they spinning me a yarn to get me to fork out for a new phone :?: Thanks Ian Edited May 6, 2005 by bowdie
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 Welcome to the site ;) If the network there is 850Mhz then the C500 is not compatable, but if it's not then you should not have a problem as long as you have SIM unlocked it.
Guest bowdie Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 (edited) Thanks for the welcome! Just trying to find out which frequency they use out here. I forgot to say before that I have been using the phone on orange roaming while out here if that makes any difference? EDIT: Just found out that Bermuda is supposedly 1900 so presumably it should be okay once unlocked? Edited May 6, 2005 by bowdie
Guest Confucious Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 If you can roam there then you can use your phone there - methinks they are trying it on ;)
