Hi,

I recently moved from Scotland to Bermuda 8) and I want to use my Orange SPV C500 on one of the local networks here (once unlocked). I have asked a local shop about sim cards, but they tell me that my phone is incompatible with the Bermudian network - is this true or are they spinning me a yarn to get me to fork out for a new phone :?:

Thanks

Ian

Welcome to the site ;)

If the network there is 850Mhz then the C500 is not compatable, but if it's not then you should not have a problem as long as you have SIM unlocked it.

Thanks for the welcome!

Just trying to find out which frequency they use out here.

I forgot to say before that I have been using the phone on orange roaming while out here if that makes any difference?

EDIT: Just found out that Bermuda is supposedly 1900 so presumably it should be okay once unlocked?

If you can roam there then you can use your phone there - methinks they are trying it on ;)
