Guest nedge2k Posted May 7, 2005 Report Posted May 7, 2005 (edited) I went for a little shopping trip in Cardiff today and what did I happen to spot in the Penarth Rd. branch of Halfords? The new Smartphone from Medion! It looked as though it was being bundled with some Sat Nav software and was priced at around the £450 mark. Source: Me ;) Edited May 7, 2005 by nedge2k
Guest martin Posted May 7, 2005 Report Posted May 7, 2005 Nice find ;) Did a search and found it for £399.99 at Halfords online http://www.halfords.com/opd_product_detail...&type=0&cat=138 Possibly the £450.00 at Halfords stores includes fitting which is being charged at separately at £39.99 ? Not a bad price for a phone and navigation software. Included in the box: The Medion Smartphone comes with a windscreen mounting bracket, external GPS receiver and a 12 volt DC power adaptor that connects to the vehicle's cigarette lighter socket. Other accessories include mains power pack for in-doors, USB cable and back up navigation software.

Guest squall Posted May 7, 2005 Report Posted May 7, 2005 btw this is the BEST phone ive ever used for gaming!
Guest Dumdidum Posted May 7, 2005 Report Posted May 7, 2005 A Phone without Bluetooth is not a real phone... that's my opinion... But the phone looks nice
Guest Newchurch Posted May 7, 2005 Report Posted May 7, 2005 Hi, this phone is rather old - the german supermarket "real" sold it last December as you can see here. It´s the Sagem MyS-7 with Medion label. Bought one of the Navi pack this January, but only to get the Navi software (Medion Navigator 1.0, the same like Navigon Navigator) and sell the rest of it at Ebay. In my opinion the phone has a very poor quality, it´s to big (like a good old Nokia 3210) and not up to date. Greetings, Peter
Guest squall Posted May 7, 2005 Report Posted May 7, 2005 tbh its not much bigger than the c500, and i think it has a better feel to it... a real joystick does it for me!
Guest nedge2k Posted May 8, 2005 Report Posted May 8, 2005 A Phone without Bluetooth is not a real phone... that's my opinion... But the phone looks nice Totally agreed ;)
Guest agent.m Posted May 8, 2005 Report Posted May 8, 2005 Would go nicely with my Medion 17" lcd monitor ;) 8 way joystick= Real phone imho ;)
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 8, 2005 Report Posted May 8, 2005 Gets my vote for gaming ;) but BT is the real killer for me, just wait for the new model to be released as that should be having BT ;) I just can not believe Halfords slipped this out without much advertising.
Guest Brody Posted May 8, 2005 Report Posted May 8, 2005 For anyone interested in eading a review of the hardware see here: http://www.msmobilenews.com/?cid=588 As has been mentioned this is the Mitac manufactured Sagem My S-7.
