When I try to send an SMS from my i-Mate SP3, I get the following error message:

"Your text message has not been sent. Verify that you have netzwork coverage and then try sending the message again"

Am I omitting something?

Is it with everyone you try sending to? or just certain numbers? . . . double check numbers are correct and full length . . . enter them manually instead of from phonebook . . . . and check the sms settings with those for your network . . .if you search round here there is a list of orange settings. or ring your operator

I used to have that problem sending to one contact and it turned out to be a problem with his operator as every one he knew could not send to him.

hope that helps a tiny bit

The problem is with all numbers. Can you take me through the step-by-step process of configuring SMS settings in the Smartphone (i-Mate SP3)?

Im not the one for that . . .im sure there is someone on the bored that'll help , though perhaps you should ring your operator first (asuming you brought the phone from your operator)

Have a look in the Articles section for the Settings Repository ;)

Ensure you do not have any brackets or symbols such as "+" in your number that you are sending SMS to. That prevented me from sending SMS until I realised.

Just to clarify the above, all my contacts are formatted +447890 123456 (without the space) as the international format is the standard for mobile phones.
