Copying all contacts to SIM

Does anyone know how to 'bulk' copy all my contacts to the SIM card? For when my faulty C500 handset is replaced...... ;)

I managed to smash the screen on my SPV C500 this weekend JUST after I cancelled my insurance. :)

Can anyone tell me the keystrokes to put all phone numbers from the phone memory to the sim? I could never thank you enough for this.

I've tried ActiveSync and Outlook but it is the most unfriendly software in the world. You woudl think it would be easy to export contacts.

Okay, let's get this right first time :D

1. Hit left softkey (Start)

2. Hit 9 (More..)

3. Hit 9 (More..)

4. Hit 5 (Accessories)

5. Hit 5 (SIM Manager)

6. Wait for SIM contacts to load

7. Hit right softkey (Menu)

8. Hit 5 (Contacts to SIM)

9. Hit left softkey (Save)

10. Put kettle on, could take some time !

11. Go to chip shop, still going 10 minutes later... :roll:

12. Read new Harry Potter.......................

.................

Step 4 might not work, depending on whether you have any additional programs installed which have links in that particular menu. If not, you should be sorted.

I've smashed the screen on my MDA Vario, can someone help guide me to do the same copy of contacts. I can connect to active sync and see files also, is there anything I can copy that has contacts?

Just Sync to Outlook - the contacts on your phone should be the same as in outlook at all times.

Copying to SIM is not a good idea as most SIMs can't hold all the data Pocket Outlook can.

In retrospect to your last comment, I am wondering (and searching) if there is a descent SIM manager wich can help me choose which data should be send to the SIM instead everything until full.

If there is a SIM manager which works on the attached PC directly on the SIM installed in the phone (c500) I would be helped even further.

I searched for a whole week now on the internet, but didn't found such a program. Maybe my louzy english beholds me of using the right search word combinations...
