I've put the .wavs I've been messing around with in the

\Storage\Application Data\Sounds and they work fine!! much fun to be had!! ;)

But can you save ringtones on the storage card instead somehow? Reg hacks?

Also what quality do most people use, I've got CD quality atm and its about 5meg.

Phone is c500.

Thanks.

I use .wma on my C500 at 96-128kbps ,why do u need the whole melody i use only about 1 min-1 min and 15 sec. of a melody because it is almost impossible for my phone to ring that long (3-4 minutes). U can edit a track u like and leave 1 min. of it and convert it to wma it should take max. 1MB. On my C500 with french rom it takes the ringtones from of the miniSD as well .

I have a HUGE collection of wav ringtones stored in my storage card, it's an MPx200 though so I don't know if this will work for you.

I put the *.wav files in the /mounted device/my documents and they appear in the list of ringtones in the sounds menu of the settings.

I convert the *.mp3's into *.wav's and make sure it's in 16 bit mono format. You need to turn down the quality as there is no need for CD quality ringtones when your speaker does not play them.

I'm sure one of the amazing mods in this forum will give you a far better answer soon but this is how I have my ringtones working on my MPx200.

Have fun, it's great being able to have any song as a ringtone.
