Guest Sipowell Posted May 11, 2005 Report Posted May 11, 2005 Hi, I am new, both to Smartphones and to this forum, so please bear with me. I have download the trial version of Papyrus and quite like it, but it still lacks some of the functionality that I liked on my Palm T3. When creating a repeating (weekly) event, I would like to be able to specify an 'end date'. I know I can do this on Outlook on my PC, but can this be done in Papyrus or is there an alternative Calendar replacement that has this functionality? Thanks for the anticipated help!! Simon
Guest SinisterJunkie Posted May 11, 2005 Report Posted May 11, 2005 Goto your appointment and highlight the recurrence. Select Option - Custom Recurrence - Edit. The you can set a custom pattern and one of the screens will let you set the pattern start and end dates. Just out of curiosity, what version are you trying?
Guest Sipowell Posted May 11, 2005 Report Posted May 11, 2005 Sorry, but I can't find a Custom Recurrence option I am using Papyrus 1.1.00, but I haven't registered it yet. Simon
Guest SinisterJunkie Posted May 11, 2005 Report Posted May 11, 2005 Don't worry about it. I just asked because SBSH is really quick on there developement schedule. Papyrus is one smartphone application that I think is worth any price. Check the following thread on the Papyrus forum at SBSH for version 1.1.10. http://www.sbsh.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=4368 They are still working on a lot of additions. Check out the forum and you will see a ton of request and Amit and the team do an amazing job of implimenting eveything they can.
Guest chucky.egg Posted May 11, 2005 Report Posted May 11, 2005 Yep, I second that If their not careful they're going to have so many features in it that it's going to get hard to use, but every new release has got at least one really useful extra function... it's almost addictive!
Guest roma0803 Posted May 11, 2005 Report Posted May 11, 2005 ...it's almost addictive! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> LOL yes it is. Having a bit of a cold turkey right now since it's been almost two weeks since the last release. I wonder what good will come next ;)/
Guest SinisterJunkie Posted May 11, 2005 Report Posted May 11, 2005 (edited) I check the Papyrus forum over at SBSH a few times a day at least. I telll myself I can stop whenever I want. :-" Edited May 11, 2005 by SinisterJunkie

They like to keep us checking back by taughting us with little comments and screenshots. It works!

CAUTION!
Guest roma0803 Posted May 13, 2005 Report Posted May 13, 2005 plus its messes everything up when u try to unintsall it, u cant really access ur old calendar anymore.. CAUTION! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It might be something you've done wrong. Never had a problem with uninstalling Papyrus and always could access my standard calendar. Uninstalled several times for testing purposes never encountered a problem. Sometimes a soft reset is needed but that's all.
