Guest pioyolo Posted May 11, 2005 Report Posted May 11, 2005 I'm new to the forum and I'm about to puchase one of these phones. I've did a search and read many topics but never quite got a definite answer. Does emulation work on these phones (C500, SP3i, SP3, Tmobile SDAs...)?? I know someone tested gnuboy (some roms affected by lack of multi button presses), & picodrive (some roms affected by lack of multi button presses). What about SmartNES? or PocketSNES? Do these work on this model? And if it does, is it playable? Does it crash? Thank you for thoughts. Cheers, ;) D|W

Got Donkey Kong Land to work, along with Tetris and a few others. I gather than being as I have a gameboy and all the games I used gathering dust in my attic then I'm not breaking any laws? The one I use the most is picodrive, which is excellent. Keypress isn't too much of an issue if you set the soft-keys to be buttons A & B. Have happily completed Sonic 1 & 2 on my C500 over the course of numerous tube journeys. There's no sound, but i don't count that as a major negative. Frame rates are excellent.

I.e you have tetris in the loft and you download tetris from the internet.
Guest sSword Posted May 13, 2005 Report Posted May 13, 2005 On my C500 GnuBoy - Works PocketSNES - Works without sound, 0.5mb ROMS only work PicoDrive - Works no sound smartNES - Works Great best to use your soft keys for buttons as they are the only ones that can work at the same time as the joystick
Guest pioyolo Posted May 13, 2005 Report Posted May 13, 2005 Did anyone test this on T-mobile SDA phones? Any differences in gameplay between the Typhoons (sp3) and the Feelers (sp3i)? Thanks for all those who replied. ;)

Rocker key can be annoying Not owned an sda/sp3i(would like to though, just to test of course) so cant comment whether they work, but i would imagine that they should and if they do then gameplay should be easier as the joystick looks much more suitable for gaming.
Guest mikeeey Posted July 16, 2006 Report Posted July 16, 2006 pocketsnes dont even work on the sda i hav an sda and certain versions work and others dont. version 1.52 works on the sda. it runs fine without sound but if u enable sound its slower and the sound is laggy. to bad theres not a better version.
