Active Sync reporting error

When I boot up my laptop without wishing to sync and therefore without my BT adapter plugged in, active sync complains about com ports. Is there a way to stop this but still leave active sync in a useable state when I want it?

all you can do is when the BT adapter isn't plugged in turn off the port on active sync -or just leave the adapter plugged in.
