Hi,

Ive had my SPV C500 for around 2 months now and have had no problems with the handset, bluetooth works as it should sending files from one phone to the other, but, in the orange instruction manual it says that you can access your computers internet connection through a bluetooth link. I have yet to get this to work and is starting to become a bit of a headace, i brought a bluetooth dongle for my computer and they can send and recieve files perfectly. Does anyone know how to set pocket internet explorer on the SPV to access the internet connection from my computer rather than to connect through GRPS? It comes up saying please verify dial up or proxy settings every time i try to connect. I have been to see orange, but they dont really know what to do.

Please help!!!

Many Thanks

Hi, i have had trouble with the spv up until now using the bluetooth but have found a great program to use, its simple and works! if you go to http://www.binarys.com/download_en.asp you can download smart explorer. this is really simple to use and works as long as the devices are set to discoverable. Also if you are having trouble pairing devices or have other bluetooth problems, i would recommend looking at this link.

Hello,

If you haven’t already done so it may be worth reading the sticky in the smartphone help section about getting Activesync working (Sticky Link). Once this is working I would have thought that all you would have to do to get IE to use the connection is to go to Settings->Data Connections and setting the "Internet Connection" setting to automatic or passthrough. I may be wrong however as I have never tried it using bluetooth, but this is how you get internet access via your PC to work if you use the USB cable, and I think the serial cable on older phones.

Hope this helps,

Chris
