DVD player? Help!

Hello...

Please help! I just bought the 1gb mini for my cell phone. I know in the past that I have seen software that compresses dvds to fit on the sd card. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Hi there, and welcome to the forum!

I use SmartRipper or DVDDecoder to remove the film from DVD to your hard drive (need about 6Gb free). ThenI use PocketDivxEncoder:

PocketDivxEncoderHomepage

to compress the video into the right format for the phone, then Betaplayer v0.5

BetaplayerHomepage

to view the film on the phone.

With the standard smartphone settings on PocketDivxEncoder, I get about 1Mb per minute of film with pretty decent quality, but feel free to play about with the settings until you find one you're happy with.

I'm sure there are tutorials explaining the whole process in the Help & Advice section if you want to browse.

Sadly I have had this phone for about two months. I have been so busy at work that there has been no time to play with this phone!! So I'm trying to play catch up and get my phone up to speed with me.... thanks thank thanks!!!

will this work on the c500 as well and are there better or easier players out there as I'm not too familiar with dvds and playing videos....?

Hello All, I have just bought my first smartphone and was reading here about watching video on it. I cannot seem to get Betaplayer, however :shock: . The CoreCodec site and all links to download BetaPlayer are not working. Does anyone know of a working mirror site or can anyone post the software here?

btw...love this site. I might propose to marry this site. I'll video tape the wedding and play it on my mpx200, but first I need to download betaplayer
