Guest franklasvegas Posted May 12, 2005 Report Posted May 12, 2005 OK. New SMT5600. I unlocked the device - seemingly no problems. Netework was consistently Cingluar after the UNLOCK. Going through several airports today and it changed to AT&T Wireless - rebooted - Cingluar came back but there was a new status - kinda a triangle but more road cone shaped. This was in the Las Vegas airport. Arrive Salt Lake City - same thing. Arrive Dallas - now network is 310410 and the road cone indicator is still there. Ideas - what is that indicator? Thanks! Guest franklasvegas Posted May 12, 2005 Report Posted May 12, 2005 This is the Roaming icon. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If I locked the phone and I have my Cingular SIM in - why would it indicate I am roaming - none of my other phones have ever done this. Should I be concerned? I am on a nationwide plan - 2000 Minutes Rollover and Unlimited Data Plan. Thanks for the FAST reply! Frank Las Vegas
Guest yoos Posted May 12, 2005 Report Posted May 12, 2005 Not sure on Cingular / AT&T, but I have a TMobile nationwide plan and see the roaming traingle every so often but have never been charged roaming... If you have a national plan I wouldn't personally be worried about it and would just dispute anything if it came up.... I'd have to beleive they would fix it if it's clear you are on a nationwide plan... Probably something to do with the Cing/ATT merger....
