Guest gazkw Posted May 12, 2005 Report Posted May 12, 2005 Hi all, I just got a XphoneII this past week, and there's very ugly phone ringing animation that doesnt seem tremoved at all. I tried searching the phone for any .gif files that might be the source, but no cigar. Could anyone point me as to how to remove it? The animation is like a phone is the centre and red/yellow stripes alternating doing a sunrise kinda effect whenever there's a call being received. Thx alot ;)

Guest noahv Posted July 20, 2005 Report Posted July 20, 2005 try looking through a photo caller id program, thats how u can remove animiated gifs from the smt 5600 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The answer lies in the *.DEF files (CONTACTS.DEF, NOTFOUND.DEF, UNKNOWN.DEF). These live in both the \Windows and the \Storage\My Documents\IA Caller ID Photos directories. I think the key ones are in the \Windows directory, but they are read-only, and don't want to be renamed or deleted. I removed the ones in the IA Caller ID Photos directory, but that didn't make any difference...

How do I remove/rename files that are read-only in the \Windows directory?

Guest Lobojpm Posted August 9, 2005 Report Posted August 9, 2005 I'm with you guys- Although I have an MPx220, I'm looking for a way to change the graphic that shows up when someone calls for whom I don't have a PhotoID... Right now it shows like the generic "men's room" guy... Anyone know how to change? Cheers, Lobojpm
Guest rasncain Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 I am interested in resolving this very issue as well. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Guest rasncain Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 OK I resolved it. Apparently I am just stupid. You open the "Photo Contacts" application, and then go to Menu - Options - Set Default Photos and you can unassign the photos there or assign some other photo.
