How do you you make it work for the SP3i beacuase all i can here is the game sound when i open it and black screen

I have the SMT5600. Doom runs fine but...

Quake, Duke3d, and Wolf 3d run smooth for 10 seconds into the game, then I hear game noise, and hear control clicks, but it is as if the screen is frozen. Then a minute later I get smooth control for a few secs, and freezes for another minute.

Task Mananger shows all clear for apps before running.
