Guest bigdan Posted May 12, 2005 Report Posted May 12, 2005 I want to use imei-check to unlock my C500 but am worried that following their instructions to display the bootloader version will cause me to lose data. As long as I dont press 0 to reset to factory settings when i restart the phone in canary mode, will all my contacts, settings, and installed programs remain untouched? Or will I lose them? I only want to find out which bootloader version i have.
Guest florin_m Posted May 12, 2005 Report Posted May 12, 2005 Is not need to find out the bootloader version anymore (now working with all versions) and the unlocking of C500 DOES NOT reset the phone
Guest extravagant Posted May 13, 2005 Report Posted May 13, 2005 Is not need to find out the bootloader version anymore (now working with all versions) and the unlocking of C500 DOES NOT reset the phone <{POST_SNAPBACK}> u know how to enter tri-band screen?
Guest usdiver Posted May 13, 2005 Report Posted May 13, 2005 Hi extravagant, I believe at the bottom of the instructions it tells all you need to do...(for the c500)... :How To: 1. turn phone off and remove usb cable 2. hold CAMERA key (key on right side of phone) and plug in USB cable (will start in 3 color mode; see picture below) 3. start c500v4unlock.exe and follow instructions the above is what you are looking for. It works like a charm. Hi Florin, remember me? We talked on the xda-developers forum before I got my c500 which I'm more than pleased with. I'm now an even happier customer, the c500 unlocker works great. Thanks for all your help and customer service. Florin...can you tell me all the extras the c500 unlocker unlocks in the phone? Also wanted to say orange customer service said your unlocker might void the warranty, but was told by someone else the warranty was fine as your service did not hurt anything. Anyway, thanks again.
