I be needing an app for traveling

With:

UK Rail Maps (entire UK)

London Tube Maps

AND....

Timetables :shock:

There is prolly a web based service I could use but I would prefer an app

Haven't seen one for the UK rail network but Orange World's train timetables service is excellent. I'm guessing that if you think a printed rail timetable is worth owning that you're either 5 years old or have just cleared immigration ! ;) ;)

I have Tube London Pro which is great - but then I bought it years ago for my PPC and upgraded to the Smartphone version incl. street maps for

If you just want a planner then Metro has all underground systems for the world and London Night buses - it doesn't look as pretty as Tube London but it's free.

I've never looked at Orange World so can't comment on their rail planner but it probably just links to the national rail enquiries superb on-line database which is "Live" so accounts for cancellations/ rail works etc. - I use the WAP version on my phone as it's less data intensive.

I think Confucious is right about Orange World's service.

The great thing about it is that when choosing stations you can just hit 'Where You Are Now" for start-off point. Then it will remember all the stations you have used before so you don't have to search every time you look something up.

As he says, weekend engineering works and other delays are covered.
