Guest zaas Posted May 14, 2005 Report Posted May 14, 2005 (edited) hello i'm new here it looks like a nice place this forum, full of knowledgeable people, so here go my questions about my new imate jam 1. it's the first time i own any pocket pc. i have a 500mb mp3 on my sd card, and it took a while to transfer. is there a program with which i can edit the id3 tag once it's on the device? i tried to google for one but wasn't successful... 2. about the jam... if i put the phone on vibrate mode (by clicking on the speaker icon in the bar on top), then i can't listen to mp3. if i put the sound on "on", then it's gonna ring, which i don't want it to! anything i can do about this? 3. is there a way to have a different sound profile when using the headset than when i'm not using it? basically if i plug the headset, the sound comes on and i can listen to my music. but if i unplug the headset (inadvertently or not), then it would change to the "normal" profile and not play my music thru the phone's speaker. 4. i haven't found a way to lock the buttons. in the settings there's an option that will lock all the buttons except power when the ppc is closed. what i want is to be able to have it open (without backlight of course) and playing mp3's without worrying that any buttons will be pressed while it's in my pocket. well that's all for now, thanks in advance! Guest jfran Posted May 14, 2005 Report Posted May 14, 2005 if you dont want the phone to ring you could turn it off completely by putting the device in flight mode - just tap the signal bars and select the option, alternatively, if ringing was a problem, just change the incoming call option in the sound and notifications settings. rgds j
