Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 16, 2005 Report Posted May 16, 2005 Welcome to the site ;) Presumably you are in the US and\or have an AT&T MPX200. The fuse blowing only seems to appear for members in the US in general. Unless you are good at soldering you will need to either send the phone off for repair or claim on it's warrany if there is any.

Guest ilmax Posted May 17, 2005 Report Posted May 17, 2005 thanks! but where this chip located? someone has a picture of it? i really need help here!... and where to buy this fuse? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sometimes my V60i has same behaviour: when battery completely discharges, connecting phone to charger has no effect. It should be a battery issue because I bought a new one and problem disappeared. By the way, everytime it happened, I'm used to keep phone connected to charger and after a while (about 10 - 20 minutes) it turned to life. My MPx200 does not show that sympthom and I don't know if this is the same issue, but before opening phone and use solder I should try it.
Guest prodigio2k Posted May 17, 2005 Report Posted May 17, 2005 "Although I didnt replace the fuse, I just bridged the connections across the fuse. Hopefully this wont melt my phone, or at least until I can get a good deal on a newer gen. phone biggrin.gif . " this is what teh guy said, that he could short it out too, an anyone get indept in this ,so maybe we can finish the curse of the mpx200 DOA
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 17, 2005 Report Posted May 17, 2005 I have circled the fuse in the picture.
Guest prodigio2k Posted May 17, 2005 Report Posted May 17, 2005 can ou answer my question please, can i just take out the chip and connect the wires pointsleft, can i do that? please tell me
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 17, 2005 Report Posted May 17, 2005 Technically you can but in doing so you could be pputting the other componants a risk as the fuse is there to act as a weak point in case of power surges etc.
