Help!! how can i get to my hotmail inbox using internet explorer. I know it is possible to get to via pop3 after i become a modaco plus member and i can then more easily view it in my messages folder etc etc, and i will do this at some point - but.....

id still really like to be able to get there using IE just because i know lots of other people have done so. Ive read many many other topics / posts on this topic but the only suggestions to do what i am trying (not pop3 access but via IE) suggest to use: http://mobile.msn.com/

This returns a page saying i need to enable cookies - but they are enabled

http://mobile.msn.com/hm/folder.aspx

This says the file cannot be viewed on the device

http://mobile.msn.com/pocketpc

This says the file cannot be viewed on the device

of course www.hotmail.com doesnt work either, giving the please enable cookies response.

Anyone who is able to access hotmail via 'internet explorer' please help me!!!

This is what I use and it works fine for me. It looks like there is a problem with your cookies. I'd try disabling them, rebooting, try the site again then enable them again and reboot and try again.

Ta - i'll try that tonight. ive messed about a bit with disabling and re-enabling the cookies but not with a reset.

A question - i am assuming that site uses normal hotmail logins, and that i dont have to sign up to some sort of extra msn service to use it?

cheers

No, should be your normal sign in and your error message doesn't sound like a username/password error.

Good luck ;)

Thanks for your help confucious. Oddly enough i have got it to work by 'unckecking' the 'allow cookies' option and rebooting.... I dont know if im being thick or not but to me that equates to disabling them and not enabling them as the website says it needs. Still im not gonna argue with the damned thing if thats how it wants to play :-)
