Guest eha Posted May 16, 2005 Report Posted May 16, 2005 (edited) The folks over at mLife.at have posted a whole ton of MDA IV (aka HTC Universal) pictures. Click Here to view the full gallery! Edited May 16, 2005 by Paul [MVP]
Guest Saif Posted May 16, 2005 Report Posted May 16, 2005 Wonder how long it will take Orange to get this device onto the streets...?!? looks awesome
Guest nickcornaglia Posted May 16, 2005 Report Posted May 16, 2005 (edited) WOW! I wonder if that comes with a backpack to carry it around with? Is it really as big as it looks? The screen itself is almost as big as the Jam. Edited May 16, 2005 by nickcornaglia
Guest zebo4 Posted May 16, 2005 Report Posted May 16, 2005 I clicked on the link to see the device and instead of swaying over to the MDA IV gallery, I ended up looking at the transparent screen gallery. I think that is a much cooler technology. They dont explain how that is done though...on a cellphone??

They have just carefully taken a photgraph of the backgroud without the computer there. Then set the resulting photo as the desktop image and then put the computer back in palce and photographed it again for the image you see. Some have been touched up in photoshop or similar to add a few effects too. I keep meaning to do it with my desktop monitors. Cheers Marc
Guest MitchellO Posted May 17, 2005 Report Posted May 17, 2005       I would drop my Mini for this anyday. Looks great!! The builtin keyboard looks pretty good too.
Guest Disco Stu Posted May 17, 2005 Report Posted May 17, 2005 I've fallen in love with this too. The size issue doesn't seem to bother me, nor I suspect will the price. Let's see what it can do then 8)
Guest MitchellO Posted May 17, 2005 Report Posted May 17, 2005 I think the price would kill me, but it just looks soooooo awesome. I want VGA!!!! And the builtin keyboard would be great for email/msn. This is like the ultimate minilaptop since the success of the Handheld PC. VGA, keyboard, WiFi, BT, phone, GPRS!!! What a combo!
Guest neuronisis Posted May 17, 2005 Report Posted May 17, 2005 This is like the ultimate minilaptop since the success of the Handheld PC. VGA, keyboard, WiFi, BT, phone, GPRS!!! What a combo! You're right. It does look like a little mini laptop and i like it. What i like about it is that you can use it as a regular hand held i.e. pda/phone etc and when you fancy watching a movie or playing a game it can turn in to a mini laptop.
Guest MitchellO Posted May 17, 2005 Report Posted May 17, 2005 Exactly!!! Add portable DVD (converted to DivX) player to the list of features.
Guest dog Posted May 18, 2005 Report Posted May 18, 2005 I'm gonna trade in my xphone ;) for one of these. Anyone know when it's due in the shops?
