Hi,

I have been a long term Orange customer (and currently have an ageing MPx200) but am almost at the end of my teather with them. (Did anyone see the Orange advert recently where they "thought of" looking after their existing customers as well as their new ones? - and laugh)

One of the things I will miss most about Orange is Orange Care I think - before the price hike and excess of course - and so I'm wondering what other insurances are like.

So the question is: If I buy a nice new smartphone on some network or other, how can I get good insurance which will cover me for the things that happen to phones in real life?

I'd like them to replace quickly it if it's been lost, stolen or damaged in any real life situation - if I leave my phone on the bus then that's my fault but if it is stolen out of my jacket pocket then I want it covered. If anything happens to my phone, I'd like a suitable replacement / loan phone in 24 hours (like Orange used to be) and whatever happens, I'd like clear, quick communication and action so that I'm not stranded for a week without it.

So, anyone got any opinions, good or bad on any of the services that are on offer?

Thanks in advance,

Edmund

Is the insurance market out there as bad as that? No comments?

What about the insurance from a1comms or buymobilephones?
