Is there a program that allows me to download a webpage to my smartphone for reading offline? I'd like to log onto a news site or two and downlaod some stories for reading on the train where I have no reception (Wal Street Journal, etc.).

Mobipocket is good. It's got an Enews function so you can download a selection of webpages everyday. I just plug my phone into the USB port and it takes a couple of minutes to update. Also its a great ebook reader. Got to www.mobipocket.com

Hope this helps

Rob.

Thanks, looks pretty cool. Are any ones available for free?

EDIT: my mistake...looks like they have a free version available!

Is there anything out there that lets me just go to a webpage and download links to store on my phone for offline reading? I'd ideally like to go to wsj.com and have most of the stories available to read offline.

Thanks

RepliGo also does a very good job of putting web-pages (and many other document-forms) on your smartphone.

I agree Repligo is great. I just installed it the other day specifically for PDFs. Recommended ;)

WinHTTrack works really well for grabbing web pages for offline viewing. Be sure to use a card reader though! If you get too deep, you're looking at hundreds of objects. It'll take forever over Activesync!
