Guest Confucious Posted May 19, 2005 Report Posted May 19, 2005 fxmartin - Are you actually French? I know people who have applied the french ROM to UK phones have complained about it not working with TomTom so maybe there is a bug. Which version of ActiveSync are you useing? have you tried it with 3.7, 3.8 and 4.0?

My connexion bluetooth works with Tomtom, i haven't any problem with them, it's only when i want to connect my tel with activ sync by bluetooth. I use activ sync 3.7.1 and before the update i hadn't any problems. Thanks ;) Sorry for my english... I will try to explain better. When i want to connect my SPV with Active Sync by blueT, i have always a message wich ask to me Config Activ Sync by BT. In the active sync menu in the SPV we have 4 choice : -options -Ir - connect by bluetooth and -config active sync. Well before update, when i click to connect by bluetooth, i have a message which ask to me config activ sync ! So this message will appare when i click normaly to conifg activ sync in the menu. And i don't know how to disable this fonction... Thanks Edited May 19, 2005 by fxmartin
Guest Confucious Posted May 19, 2005 Report Posted May 19, 2005 Interesting that you have no problems with TomTom - Not a problem with the ROM then, only having the French ROM on an English phone! Have you tried deleting your BT partnership with your PC and setting it up again from the start? What operating system are you using on the PC? Is it XP? SP? You could also upgrade to ActiveSync 3.8 which is available in French (4.0 is still Beta) but first I'd try deleting and recreating the partnership. Good Luck. PS Your English is a LOT better than my French ;)
Guest fxmartin Posted May 19, 2005 Report Posted May 19, 2005 Thx for your answer, so my pc is XP SP2 and my phone is french ;) with Orange ! I have tryed to delet partnership with my pc and uninstal my dongle BT and i have always the problem... So i have try to connect with another software exemple Bluetooth remote desktop and it run without problem... I don't know why... If you can speek french it's interesting lol
Guest Confucious Posted May 19, 2005 Report Posted May 19, 2005 After deleting the partnership on the phone have you deleted the BT device on the PC? You really wouldn't want to hear me try and speak french ;)

So we must go to option in activ sync menu on our SPV and in pc parameter, on advanced select Bluetooth !! and not USB and it disable the problem... Thanks for your interesting :-)

Thanks for your interesting :-) That's interesting, I leave mine on USB that way I can use either. It will be even more interesting to see if I have to change the setting when (or if) the UK version of the ROM ever comes out. By taking an interest in your problem I have learned something from your solution which might help me when the UK version is released so I've probably gained more from this thread than you ;) Glad you got it sorted and thanks for telling us how you solved it.

The BT Activesync connection won't work if you've connected the phone previously to the GPRS network. The only work-around I've found is to go to flight mode and then back again (to turn the 'G' symbol off in the top right corner), then it'll work. Altrernatively switch the phone off and on again, and connect to Ac tivesync before making any data connections using GPRS. Cheers, Nick
