Welcome to the forum! ;)

Never heard of that problem when trying to send stuff to the phone? Are you accessing the phone through "Devices" in WMP because this could possibly be the problem. The C500 (at the moment) is still running WMP9 and that wasn't designed for syncing with desktop WMP too easily. A ROM upgrade should be coming out from Orange very, very soon to update this.

In the meantime, try downloading Betaplayer from:

http://betaplayer.corecodec.org

This basically plays all WMV and WMA files - as well as pretty much any other filetype you can throw at it! Seriously.

Once you've downloaded this, just connect the phone up, open Activesync, select "Explore" and copy and paste any files you want on the phone (don't forget to send Betaplayer over too). Job done!

Incidentally, there's a guide on one of the forum's called "First 48hrs with your Smartphone" or something similar. It contains loads of really good info on how to get the best out of your phone and is really worth reading. Trust me when I say that so far your phone won't have shown 10% of what it's capable of - you will be amazed! ;)

Good luck.
