Guest ustguitarista Posted May 19, 2005 Report Posted May 19, 2005 (edited) hello, i need help pls? is it possible to change the order of each profile when you launch quick app button? after restoring with sprite backup, sometimes it jumbles the arrangement of my profiles qhen launching quickapp, which makes my autoflight program hit the wrong key when changing to silent mode (it hits the car profile). is it possible to find it in the registry? i was able to change the first four items (Power off, key lock, Device Lock, and airplane mode) on HKCU\Software\Microsoft\QuickApp\ Edited May 19, 2005 by ustguitarista
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted May 19, 2005 Report Posted May 19, 2005 Have you been through these keys? These presents some really interesting values... [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\QuickApp] "1"="{6D48AB52-635C-4c6a-8508-9D32A0F07863}" <---POWEROFF "2"="{0D519EC6-315A-4693-AF1B-B2DA865AC1C7}" <--- FLIGHT MODE "3"="{69E9215B-91B0-461b-A3B6-165EBA32DAE1}" <---KEYLOCK "4"="{95EE6F09-7C1C-459c-9F50-22628046CAAE}" <--- DEVICE LOCK "5"="{B7A5E609-3E46-442d-8D32-65926EDA6795}" <--- PROFILE'S APP So that when you press your power button, you'll see: Now the registry location for the 'profiles app' is at: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Profiles So 'Normal' is at order 1, 'Silent' at order 2 etc 'Profiles app' will have these order on Settings > Profiles based on the above registry order: Try fiddling with the individual folder's 'Order' in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Profiles I think if you change Order value of 'Normal' to 2 and 'Silent' to 1, then your 'profiles app' order would start with: Silent Normal Meeting etc ...and your 'QuickList' order would be: Power Off Flight Mode Key Lock Device Lock Silent Normal Not sure if it will work. I just based things on wild guess. ;)
Guest ustguitarista Posted May 20, 2005 Report Posted May 20, 2005 (edited) thanks pzee, i checked on my HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Profiles and didn't find the "order" key in each profile so I created it. I set silent to order 1 and normal to 2 then rebooted my phone.. but still it doesnt change the order when launching quickapp. ;) still trying to find out.. Edited May 20, 2005 by ustguitarista
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted May 20, 2005 Report Posted May 20, 2005 Argh. Stupid me for giving you C500 registry values. I assumed they were present on the Tanager.
Guest ustguitarista Posted May 20, 2005 Report Posted May 20, 2005 yup, tanager only! ;) but if it has been re-ordered after sprite backup it means its possible somewhere in the registry to re-arrange it right? :?: anybody? tweaker dudes help pls?
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted May 20, 2005 Report Posted May 20, 2005 How about isolating your problem. Get registry image before doing backup then compare it with the registry image post-backup. Which registry entry to look for? Uhmmm all of them. ;)
