Weird! My C500 has just had a freak attack, and done what I can only describe as a partial hard reset!

Get this ... I was just after swapping themes around, when the phone crashed. Nothing new there, so i pulled the battery & rebooted. Aftyer a couple of mins, I noticed the phone was still stuck at the MS splash screen, so I thought it might have got stuck. But then it went 'bing' like it does after a hard reset, and I looked at the screen to see the 'cold boot config ...' message that appears after a hard reset, asking me to reboot the phone. I did that, and sure enough, there's the old Orange homescreen, and all the keypad sounds back on etc etc. But here's the weird bit - all my apps & stuff are still installed! All my homescreen files, all my photos, voice notes, everything! & I don't mean stirage card stuff, I mean stuff that is stored on the phone. But it has re-application locked the phone!

What the ****! Has anybody ever heard of anything like that? I think I'm gonna hard reset it properly anyway, coz I'm not entirely sure it's stable right now!

Yeh, happened on my e100 too, happened when I took out the battery when it had crashed. It kinda resets the registery to its default state. That's why it's no longer app unlocked, but it doesn't erase the flash memory. So most of your programs and things will still work, but those that installed crucial reg keys will have to be reinstalled.

Same thing happened to my T-Mobile SDA. It erased the registry but didn't clear a phone memory. Some apps started to work buggy and unpredictable so I hard reseted the phone at last.
