Guest renesuarez Posted May 20, 2005 Report Posted May 20, 2005 my phone's a smartphone2 (voyager) I removed some programs from my smartphone but when i look in--> storage/windows/appmgr i still see the folders of the programs i installed! when i check inside the folders they only contain a .tmp file. what's worse, when i try and delete them (the file as well as the folders), i always get an "unable to delete" message. tried deleting them while i was synched also but i get the same thing. what should i do???
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted May 21, 2005 Report Posted May 21, 2005 Hi rene, Try these: 1. Open drive C > Tools > Folder Options > View tab...check if you have same setup as this one...click Apply button when finished. 2. Sync phone to computer then navigate to Appmgr folder (\Storage\windows\AppMgr) 3. Look for the program's folder, highlight then cut - paste from phone to a folder in your computer. DO NOT DELETE the folder. A cut-paste operation is safer than a delete when it comes to this situation. Please be reminded that if you still have the program on your phone but you have deleted it's AppMgr folder, you can no longer install updates or even uninstall the program. Hope that helps. ;)
