Guest killerost Posted May 20, 2005 Report Posted May 20, 2005 I'm the owner of a Qtek 8010. It seems that this device has sort of low priority since firmware with with mp 10 has been released for both qtek s100 and 9090. Beacuse of this I've installed the new french orange firmware and all in all I like that firmware better. But there are a few small things: Even tough I remove the certificate security I don't feel like I'm in control of the device. My original firmware (daangard qtek 8010) came with Pocket MSN preinstalled, but when I try to install it with the orange firmware I just get a "Insufficient privilege" error message and "contact your wireless service provider to request that the use of Pocket MSN be enabled on the provider's data network." wich is really stupid since I don't have orange as my serviceprovider :-) Is there any ways to remove (or add) anything so that the firmware is totally free of restrictions??
Guest Confucious Posted May 20, 2005 Report Posted May 20, 2005 No - That's why it's ORANGE firmware.
