connect to internet via bluetooth on phone

Hi

can any1 plz help me? i want to connect to the internet on my pc using my phones gprs over bluetooth, is that possible?

Could any1 give me a link or tell me how to do it?

i've got my phone bonded with my laptop over bluetooth.

i can connect to the internet on my pc using the cradle but i want to do it using bluetooth

SYNC the phone as you would normally using activesync (dont try bonding it any other way).

Change the connection settings (settings-> data connections) so Internet connection = Automatic.

Should work then.

If not - Check your firewall. It may be preventing connection.

it doesn't work. when i click on internet explore on my pc it says "page cannot be displayed" even thou my phone is synchronized

Just use the bluetooth software on the pc to discover what services your phone has, one of them should be Remote Connection (or something, i've got norwegian windows). Use that service to dialup the internet. When it asks for a phone number type *99# and you will use the gprs part of the phone to connect.

So activesync has got nothing to do with connecting to the net, in fact activesync should NOT be active when you want to use it as a modem.

I know this sounds strange but Orange where very good at helping out with this.

If you are indeed using Orange then there is a number that needs to be entered into your Internet connetion settings.

at=cgdcont_1,"IP""orangeinternet_

I cant remember where it goes now.

But they told me it had do go on every device that you wanted to connect through.
