Guest helidan Posted May 20, 2005 Report Posted May 20, 2005 Hi all ;) First off all i'm new to this forum and I must say that so far i've found it most interesting and informative!! I would like some opinions on leaving an SPV C500 switched on continuous. I dont have any real need to leave it switched on overnight but was just wondering what you people think :-k One last thing, why cant I select 'speakerphone' from the profiles menu? I've tried and tried but the phone only lets me select the likes of 'normal, silent etc.' :-k Many thanks for any advice or help you can give me ;)
Guest Disco Stu Posted May 20, 2005 Report Posted May 20, 2005 An occasional restart wil help clear up memory-leak problems and refresh the ROM. I recommend iMenu from here : http://www.airfagev.com/downloads1.asp?id=82 It will let you restart without using the pesky power button.
Guest tony_man Posted May 20, 2005 Report Posted May 20, 2005 Hold the (green) call key for 2 secs for speakerphone.
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted May 21, 2005 Report Posted May 21, 2005 I think RJV's iMenu use rcraswell's QuickReset application. http://www.modaco.com/index.php?act=Attach&type=post&id=1105 I assigned quickreset to a speed dial key (77) for easy execution. So when I want to restart phone, I hit 7 followed by a long press on 7 then the phone goes into a restart. ;)
Guest helidan Posted May 21, 2005 Report Posted May 21, 2005 Thanks guys, I think ill do an occasional restart and will probably use one of those shutdown utilities that you suggested. Also thanks for showing me how to activate the speakerphone ;)
